A bright, freshly renovated 52 m² one-bedroom apartment on the top floor of a well-kept 1962 brick building in the heart of Jyväskylä. The whole interior was refreshed in 2026 — new kitchen with brass hardware, marble-look counters, induction hob, oven, dishwasher, microwave, and a compact dining nook for four by the window. The bedroom sleeps two on a comfortable double bed with mustard blackout curtains and a full wall of built-in wardrobes. A tucked-in workstation with desk, chair, and floor lamp makes it easy to get a few hours of laptop work in. The living room has a grey sofa bed for two more guests, a large smart TV, and a signature red-tubular lounge chair — sleeps four in total. The bathroom is bright and white-tiled with a walk-in shower, WC, washing machine, bidet sprayer, and a heated towel rail. A private balcony off the living room looks out over neighbouring rooftops and treetops. Location is unbeatable: three minutes' walk to Kauppatori and the Kompassi bus interchange, ten minutes to Jyväskylä railway station, and steps to restaurants, cafés, and the Kirkkopuisto park. The Jyväsjärvi lakeside and Lutakko concert district are a 10-minute walk away. Please note: the apartment is on the 4th floor and the building has no elevator, so guests should be comfortable with stairs. Easy self check-in via keybox. Bed linens and towels provided.

The renovated kitchen (2026) has an induction hob, oven, integrated microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, brass tap, coffee maker, and toaster, opening onto a dining nook with a round table and four chairs. Bathroom: walk-in shower, WC, wall-mounted sink, bidet sprayer, heated towel rail, and washing machine. Slate-tile floor, warm wooden ceiling.

Getting around
Jyväskylä railway and bus stations are a 10-minute walk. Helsinki is 3.5 hours by train, Tampere 90 minutes. Jyväskylä Airport is 20 minutes by car or bus. The city is very walkable; you likely won't need a car during your stay. Guest parking spot in the courtyard is included if you drive.
The neighbourhood
Keskusta is the heart of Jyväskylä — the whole city centre is walkable. Kauppatori marketplace, the Kompassi bus interchange, and dozens of restaurants and cafés are within three minutes. Kirkkopuisto park is a two-minute walk. Jyväsjärvi lakeside, Lutakko concert district (Paviljonki, Lutakko music venue), and the Alvar Aalto Museum are all a 10-15 minute walk. Great for short city breaks, business travel, and long weekends.

Breaking the rules may result in your stay being cancelled before checkout or additional payments. 🤫 Please maintain reasonable noise levels throughout your stay and especially between 22.00-07.00 (quiet hours). 🎉 No parties. 🚪 Balcony use should be quiet between 22.00 and 07.00 to avoid disturbing the neighbours. 🚭 Smoking, vaping, or related activities are not allowed in the apartment, on the balcony, or in the building. A minimum fine of €1,000 will be charged for smoking in the apartment. 🐶 Pets are not allowed in this apartment. 👠 Please remove your shoes at the entrance. This is a cultural practice in Finland and a way to reduce noise and protect property. 🪜 The apartment is on the 4th floor and the building has no elevator. 👨👨👦👦 All guests must be included in the reservation. No unregistered visitors are permitted. If undeclared guests are found, an additional €50 per person per night will be charged. 🧳 Leaving luggage in the building before or after your stay is prohibited. 🕒 Late checkout is not allowed without prior approval. If you are still at the apartment after the scheduled checkout time, a fee of €10 per hour will be charged. If our cleaner has to wait for you to vacate, an additional €60 per hour will be charged. If your late checkout delays the next guest's check-in, you will be charged the cost of the first night's stay for the next guest's stay. 🔑 Please return the apartment key to the keybox on checkout. 🚯 Please keep the apartment tidy. If extra cleaning is required or damage occurs, you will be charged the full cost of cleaning or repairs.
