The space
This two-story townhouse was designed by famous Finnish architect Juha Leiviskä in Puu-Vallila (an old wooden part of the city). Most of the windows stretch from floor to ceiling and the open space offers a plenty of natural light. The staircase leading upstairs is open and the room height is up to six meters. The main floor is one open space from the kitchen to the living areas. The kitchen is fully equipped, and its crown is the Sage Oracle espresso machine, which allows home baristas to create their favourite coffee drinks. The large dining table is perfect for organising dinners for your friends and family. The living area offers a comfortable sofa and a chair to watch movies from the 4K 65" TV or read a book in the reading corner under the stairs. The reading corner's futon sofa turns into the bed for the 7th guest. The main floor also has a fireplace, which can create a warm and cosy atmosphere when used with candles (burning wood is not allowed). The main floor also has a toilet with a diaper-changing table for those travelling with kids and a small storage for your luggage. The backyard can be accessed directly from the living area, has a partly decked terrace, and opens into the larger shared garden. The bedrooms are upstairs. The master bedroom's atmosphere is very open as it connects directly to the staircase, with a ceiling height of over 6 meters. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer loads of natural light, and the balcony facing south offers some fresh air for the main bedroom occupants. The bedroom has a 160cm wide, comfortable double bed. The walk-in closet of the main bedroom offers enough storage space for those travelling with loads of luggage and a small desk with a mirror to do work or makeup. The second bedroom also has a 160cm wide, comfortable double bed, cabinets for clothing and a desk for remote work. The access to the loft is from this bedroom. The loft has a 180cm wide futon bed and a TV. Steep steps access this space, so caution is necessary when climbing there. The space has a child safety gate. The bathroom with a private sauna can also be found upstairs, connected directly to both bedrooms. The sauna fits comfortably 3 persons. The bathroom also has a toilet and a washing machine for laundry. Additional Features: Private street-side entrance for easy access. WiFi throughout the home. Breaking the rules may result in your stay being cancelled before checkout or additional payments. ⚠️ We have installed a Minut Smart Home sensor to monitor noise levels, smoking, and excessive guests. The sensor does not record or listen to conversations. If noise exceeds acceptable levels, we will contact you immediately. More information about the sensor is available at Minut's website. 🤫 Quiet hours are from 22:00 to 07:00. Please maintain reasonable noise levels throughout your stay. 🎉 While the apartment may seem ideal for hosting parties, please note that our neighbours are very sensitive to noise. If we receive any complaints, we will address them immediately. A written warning from the housing association’s board will incur a €3,000 fee. 🚪 Due to the proximity of neighbours’ yards & balconies, even minimal noise can be heard. Yard and balcony use is strictly forbidden between 22:00 and 07:00. 🚭 Smoking, vaping, or related activities are not allowed in the apartment, on the balcony, or in the building. A minimum fine of €1,000 will be charged for smoking in the apartment. 🐶 Pets are allowed, but they must be added to the booking. 👠 Please remove your shoes at the entrance. This is a cultural practice in Finland and a way to reduce noise and protect property. 💦 Only water is allowed on the sauna stove. 👨👨👦👦 All guests must be included in the reservation. No unregistered visitors are permitted. If undeclared guests are found, an additional €50 per person per night will be charged. 🧳 Leaving luggage in the building before or after your stay is prohibited. Please use the nearest luggage storage at Kamppi shopping centre or the central railway station. 🕒 Late checkout is not allowed without prior approval. If you are still at the apartment after the scheduled checkout time, a fee of €10 per hour will be charged. If our cleaner has to wait for you to vacate, an additional €60 per hour will be charged. If your late checkout delays the next guest’s check-in, you will be charged the cost of the first night's stay for the next guest’s stay. 🚯 Please keep the apartment tidy. If extra cleaning is required or damage occurs, you will be charged the full cost of cleaning or repairs.
